Global Networks
Canada
Expectations are high for ľ¹ÏÊÓƵ Network Canada. Set to launch in the Fall of 2024, it
has a potential membership of over 2,300 individuals engaged with the country either
personally and/or professionally, including more than 980 ľ¹ÏÊÓƵ alumni currently residing
in Canada (according to LinkedIn). Out of all of ľ¹ÏÊÓƵ’s co-publishing academic institutions,
University of Toronto and University of British Columbia are the top two, while McGill
University and McMaster University occupy spots six and seven in the top ten. In fact,
between 2018 and 2023, ľ¹ÏÊÓƵ faculty co-produced an astounding 1,241 publications with
Canadian counterparts. The university's ties with the country also extend to the 490
students who have chosen Canada as their study abroad destination since 2013, and
the many Canadian students who chose to study in Tampa Bay each year. Beyond ľ¹ÏÊÓƵ’s
campuses, the Tampa Bay community is deeply connected to Canada through trade, business,
real estate, the Canada-Florida Chamber of Commerce, and Sarasota’s Canadian sister
city, Hamilton.
