Family Checklist

Family Checklist serves as a tool for our newest ľ¹ÏÊÓÆµ family members so they can help their student prepare for a successful transition to ľ¹ÏÊÓÆµ. The Family Checklist is divided into three sections: once admitted, post deposit, and prior to classes starting. The student in your family can access their ľ¹ÏÊÓÆµ Student Checklist here. ONCE THE STUDENT IN YOUR FAMILY HAS BEEN ADMITTED TO ľ¹ÏÊÓÆµ

Encourage the student in your family to complete the following tasks in the Admissions Checklist portal:

  • Activate their NetID
  • Activate their ľ¹ÏÊÓÆµ email address- Students should check this email often
  • Verify their contact information and provide an emergency contact name and phone number
  • Pay their admissions deposit

Familiarize yourself with:

  • ľ¹ÏÊÓÆµ Scholarships
  • Florida Prepaid Plan information: Florida Prepaid (usf.edu)
  • in Student Self-Service (Families & Guests)
  • If not yet completed, help the student in your family submit the free application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

ACTIONS TO COMPLETE ONCE THE STUDENT IN YOUR FAMILY HAS DEPOSITED TO ľ¹ÏÊÓÆµ

Encourage the student in your family to complete the following tasks in MyBullsPath:

  • Submit required immunization records and medical history documents
  • Submit final transcripts, test scores, and exam scores
  • Reserve their seat at Orientation on their home campus
  • Submit their on-campus Housing Application, Tampa or St. Petersburg campus
  • Make their ľ¹ÏÊÓÆµ Dining meal plan selection; required if living on campus

Familiarize yourself with:

  • The support provided for our parents and families: Tampa campus; ;
  • Financial aid how-to-videos
  • Payment options
  • Florida Prepaid Plan information
  • Reserve your seat at Family and Guest orientation on your student’s home campus: Tampa campus; St. Petersburg campus; Sarasota-Manatee campus
  • Activate your
  • Save the date by booking your travel and hotel accommodations for Orientation, Move-in, and Family and Friends Weekend

ACTIONS TO COMPLETE AFTER ORIENTATION

Encourage the student in your family to complete the following tasks:

  • Verify their residency status in MyBullsPath; domestic students only
  • Select their on-campus room; Tampa or St. Petersburg campus
  • Review their final tuition and fees due and accepted any awards in Student Self-Service
  • Subscribe to e-deposit in Student Self-Service
  • Purchase their ľ¹ÏÊÓÆµ ID card
  • Purchase a parking permit; if they intend to park on campus
