NRT Trainee, Isabelle Eskanos, wins best poster award at the Florida Semiconductor Summit

Under the mentorship of Professor Ashok Kumar and others, NRT Trainee, Isabelle Eskanos, received the Best Poster Award for her presentation titled "Surface-Engineerable Piezoelectric PVDF Films for Tissue Engineering" for her presentation at the Florida Semiconductor Summit 2025 on February 25th-27th at the L3Harris High Technology Center, Melbourne FL.

Engineering Faculty named Faculty Mentor of the Year by Florida Undergraduate Research Association

Nancy Diaz-Elsayed, PhD, an assistant professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of South Florida, has been named the 2025 Faculty Mentor of the Year by the Florida Undergraduate Research Association. She received the award during the Florida Undergraduate Research Conference opening ceremony on Friday, February 14 at the ľ¹ÏÊÓÆµ Marshall Student Center.

Dr. Tansel Yucelen, associate professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at (ľ¹ÏÊÓÆµ) was named a Highly Ranked Scholar by ScholarGPS, ranking third in Adaptive Control and 154th in Control Theory, and has also been recognized as one of the top 2% of the most cited scientists worldwide in Stanford/Elsevier's annual citation ranking.
