Veterans Program

ľ¹ÏÊÓƵ Is a Veteran-Friendly University

ľ¹ÏÊÓƵ has a long history of supporting the veteran community. In the 2020 Military Times Best: Colleges, ľ¹ÏÊÓƵ ranked 1st in Florida and 4th among all four-year U.S institutions.

Given ľ¹ÏÊÓƵ's proximity to MacDill Air Force Base, which is home to two major commands (U.S. Central Command and U.S. Special Operations Command), ľ¹ÏÊÓƵ is well-positioned to support active military and those looking to transition to meaningful careers after service.

Military veterans are uniquely qualified for the cybersecurity field because of their training, and often, their security clearances. ľ¹ÏÊÓƵ's cybersecurity programs provide skills that not only will capitalize on veterans' strengths, but also will provide nearly immediate access to the kinds of jobs that will enable them to remain in the state and contribute toward economic growth.

ľ¹ÏÊÓƵ also offers a , a one-credit-hour course that meets in-person weekly to discuss current international cybersecurity and intelligence topics. This face-to-face seminar generally meets the "on campus" requirement for Veterans using their GI Bill.
