YOGA (August 29th @10am)

A good way to relieve stress and anxiety is through yoga. It provides many benefits, like improving mental health, reducing burnout, promotes self-care and reduces anxiety.


Wellness Welcome

August 29th, 9am-3pm

Join us for a back to school Wellness Welcome at the ľ¹ÏÊÓÆµ Botanical Gardens! Kick off this event with a guided Yoga session from 10 AM to 11 AM, and follow up with a scavenger hunt following our Botanical kitty's Bat and Magic around the gardens. Next, enjoy the fruits of your labor with a free meal provided by us for a picnic on the lawn, and don't forget to enjoy 10% off of everything at our Plant Shop!

11am-1pm- Study Spot Scavenger Hunt

Complete your scavenger hunt to join us for Lunch on the Lawn!

Native Plant Open House

September 13th, 9am-3pm

This will be a fun event for the entire family. Learn from the experts, purchase plants to support this important conservation initiative and tour the Gardens' native plant collections.

BEEKEEPING

We have an Apiary Collective that meets to talk about our Western Honey Bee (Apis mellifera), join us to learn through demonstration about our Botanical Gardens hives!

We're on hiatus for the summer, but if you'd like to join our notification list for the Fall schedule, please notify Nicole Brand at brand42@usf.edu.

MESSER FAMILY BEEKEEPING SCHOLARSHIP 

Anyone can have the opportunity to participate in our course through the Messer Family Award. To become an applicant, submit a personal statement—500 words or less - on why urban beekeeping is important to you and the community. 

This award will assist with course expenses for individuals interested in pursuing beekeeping as well as show a committed effort to increase urban beekeeping in the local community. Expenditures awarded from this fund will be used for but not limited to course registration costs, the purchase of course educational materials and required supplies.
