Safety at ľ¹ÏÊÓƵ

The University of South Florida System maintains a comprehensive Emergency Notification System (ENS), called Alertľ¹ÏÊÓƵ, for the purpose of issuing immediate notification to keep the ľ¹ÏÊÓƵ community informed and safe during an emergency situation. There is also a free app you can download called the ľ¹ÏÊÓƵ Safe App.

Setting Up Your ľ¹ÏÊÓƵ NetID

Your NetID allows you to login to various online services offered through the university. Students, faculty, staff, and scholars should create a NetID to begin using these services. For more information, please contact Information Technology at (813) 074-1222 or help@usf.edu.

Cell Phones

When choosing a cell phone provider, make sure to ask if there is a special plan for students or discounts for ľ¹ÏÊÓƵ students as well as what's needed to set up a service plan. You may also want to consider how much data you'll need, international calling options, text message plans, and how many individuals will be on the account. Some providers require a Social Security Number (SSN) and may require a background check.

ľ¹ÏÊÓƵ Information Technology

ľ¹ÏÊÓƵ Information Technology (ľ¹ÏÊÓƵ IT) provides technology services and support in a variety of areas for the entire ľ¹ÏÊÓƵ system. They're located in the Student Services Building (SVC) on the fourth floor, and you may reach them at (813) 074-1222 or help@usf.edu.
