October is a month of student, family, and staff engagement In Undergraduates Studies!
During Family Weekend and Homecoming Week. These annual events bring together students, families, and alumni to celebrate campus pride, community, and the spirit that unites all Bulls.
Throughout the week, each campus hosts a variety of events—from a special speaker, student government elections, a food drive, ľ¹ÏÊÓƵ trivia, Carni-Bull, concert, and other activities. The excitement culminates with the Running of the Bulls Parade on Friday evening, a lively display of school spirit featuring student organizations, the military, ľ¹ÏÊÓƵ departments, and local businesses. The festivities continue on Saturday with the Homecoming football game, where Bulls fans cheer together in a show of unity and pride.
As part of Family Weekend, the Office of Undergraduate Studies hosted a special Open House for parents and students to learn more about the academic support services and programming offered through its departments. From tutoring and mentoring to academic advising and student success initiatives, Undergraduate Studies provides resources that help students stay on track and achieve their goals throughout their academic journey.
Adding to the celebration, students from ľ¹ÏÊÓƵ’s Army, Naval, and Air Force ROTC programs proudly marched in the parade and served as the honor guard at the Homecoming football game, demonstrating leadership, service, and dedication to the university and country.
This year also marked a new collaboration as the Division of Student Success, the Office of the Provost, and the Joint Military Leadership Conference co-hosted a Homecoming Parade Watch Party, offering a shared space for students, faculty, staff, and guests to enjoy the parade together and celebrate ľ¹ÏÊÓƵ’s military-connected community.
Adding to the excitement are reflections from staff members—each proud ľ¹ÏÊÓƵ alum—who shared what Homecoming means to them and how it continues to strengthen their connection to the university.

"Being a first-generation student came with its challenges, and there were many times
I felt alone while trying to navigate university policies and college life, but staff
and faculty members made all the difference, taking me under their wings and supporting
me through every step of my journey at ľ¹ÏÊÓƵ. Their sincere care and encouragement not
only helped me succeed but also inspired me to stay at ľ¹ÏÊÓƵ so I can ensure future
Bulls feel that same sense of support and community."

Sarah Wray, Assistant Director
Office of Academic Advocacy, Tampa Campus
