Flu Shots for Students, Faculty, and Staff
Horns up! Protect your family. Protect the herd!
The 25-26 Flu Shot will be avilable by the end of September! Please call the telephone
number for your campus clinic (below) for same day appointments, scheduling, or information. All Bulls are encouraged to get the flu shot to prepare
for cold and flu season.
COVID vaccine will not be available through our clinics in the 25-26 year.
STUDENTS: You will not have to pay out of pocket for your flu shot. We are offering campus
clinics Monday through Friday for Flu shots. Any insurance payment received supports
our specialty Wellness services at no out of pocket cost to our students.
FACULTY & STAFF: We charge insurance for Flu vaccinations. Without insurance, self-pay rates are offered.

FACULTY & STAFF: The flu vaccination can be administered at Student Health campus clinics (see table
above). COVID vaccine is not available through our clinics in the 25-26 year.
- The flu shot is covered 100% by the State PPO, HMO, and high deductible insurance plans. Please bring your insurance card to the clinic.
- OPS Staff without health insurance may receive the flu vaccination for $25.
- If you have an alternate insurance plan that does not cover the vaccination 100%, the maximum out of pocket cost is $25.
- We are offering the 25-26 Trivalent flu vaccine.
- We are not offering COVID vaccine; we recommend visiting an off-campus location.

Flu Shot Myths
- Flu shots will give you the flu.
- FALSE... the vaccine contains the dead flu virus... it is dead.... It cannot infect you.
- Vaccines are dangerous.
- FALSE... Vaccines are, arguably, the greatest medical advance in history. They've prevented more illness and death than any treatment.
- It's after November; it's too late to get a flu shot.
- FALSE... There are plenty of vaccines left, and the flu stays around through March, so you still have plenty of time to protect yourself.
- I got the vaccine last year, so I am protected.
- FALSE... Each year there are new strains of the flu virus and the vaccine needs to change to keep up.
