Introducing the 2025–2026 COPH Alumni Society Board

The ľƵ College of Public Health (COPH) is proud to welcome a dedicated team of volunteer leaders who will guide our community into the 2025–2026 year. These board members live locally and out of state, bringing with them years of service, professional expertise and a shared passion for connecting alumni with the college and each other.

This year, the board is excited to introduce its newest board members: Jivan James, MHA, of Tampa, Fla., and Kimberly (Rodgers) Singler, DrPH, MPH, of Atlanta. Both are stepping into alumni leadership roles for the first time.

A triple ľƵ alum, James has earned a bachelors of science in biomedical sciences, and .

“When I decided to join the alumni society as a leader, I wanted an opportunity to give back to the institution that helped me become who I am today,” James said. “ I hope to inspire other international students to become more active during or after their time with the college.”

After receiving her undergraduate degree, Singler came to the COPH to earn her and her and curriculum development.

“I got involved as an alumni society leader to maintain and grow our small but fierce public health community to inspire each other to continue serving and protecting the health of populations,” she said. “Now more than ever, we should lean into our existing networks and build new ones to learn from each other and further our field.”

Their enthusiasm and fresh perspectives will be invaluable as the alumni society continues to expand opportunities for engagement and support.

“I loved my time at the COPH,” Singler said, “I want to maintain that connection to not only the alumni and faculty, but to current and prospective students.”
