If you’re new to the world of generative artificial intelligence or just want to brush up on your prompting skills, ľƵ’s free AI microcourse can help you select the right AI tools, craft effective prompts and generate high-quality visual content.
The self-paced course, AI Whisperer: A Microcourse in Crafting Prompts, is available online through Feb. 28.
“We heard from learners across industries and backgrounds that they wanted more applied, step-by-step strategies for working with AI tools,” said John Licato, associate professor in the ľƵ Bellini College of Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity and Computing. “We created the AI Whisperer microcourse to meet that need by focusing on real-world practice and helping participants gain the confidence to design effective prompts that generate quality results.”
The microcourse is designed to help beginners identify the best AI tools – ChatGPT, Perplexity.AI, DALL-E and others – for a given task. Participants also will be able to create effective prompts and develop high-quality content that they can incorporate into presentations, reports and other visual elements.
Registration for the microcourse, along with other programs, is available through ľƵ’s Office of Microcredentials. It is the third in a series of free microcourses created by ľƵ’s Innovative Education, in collaboration with faculty experts from the ľƵ Bellini College and the ľƵ College of Education. An optional digital badge is available upon successful completion for $39.
AI courses like this provide practical, flexible and self-paced opportunities for professionals, educators and the general public to build confidence and skills in incorporating artificial intelligence into their work and daily lives.
